Outside supervision begins at 8:15 am.  Students arriving prior to this time are not supervised. If your child arrives after the 8:30 am bell or the 12:30 pm Kindergarten bell they need to stop in at the office to get a late slip. This will avoid parents receiving unnecessary attendance calls.

Students in grades 1 to 5 will have two Nutrition Breaks in the classroom of 20 minutes and two recess breaks outside (weather permitting) of 20 minutes. All students will eat in their classrooms and are supervised by their teacher. A weekly rotating supervision schedule by adult staff is organized for the twice a day, three staggered playtimes outside. Currently, we have five to 6 class patterns outside at one time and students are scheduled to play in a daily zone. This zone rotates so that students get the opportunity to play in all zones over the period of a week or so.

  • Water is best
  • No microwaves or kettles available for students.  If you want your child to have hot food please pack his/her lunch in a thermos.
  • Pack your own spoons and forks
  • We encourage the students not to share food
  • We are a Nut Aware school. Please do not pack food with nuts as we have children and staff with life threatening allergies.
  • Our Parent Council organizes hot lunches once a month and can be purchased through School Cash Online - check the calendar for hot lunch dates.

For the safety and protection of students we require ALL VISITORS to call the office or use the doorbell.
